FAQ

Questions, answered

Everything you need to know before you take the assessment. Can’t find your answer? Write to us.

Is this a pass or fail test?

No. Teach the Teacher shows where you stand in each competency, from Basic to Outstanding, so you can see what to build on and what to develop next. It is a development tool, not an examination.

What kind of questions will I answer?

Each question describes a real classroom situation and offers five possible responses. You choose the one you would most likely do. Each response reflects a different level of teaching practice.

How many competencies are assessed?

That depends on your package. Silver covers about 10 competencies, Gold about 12 and Platinum about 14. You will see the exact list and the number of questions before you start.

Does my teaching experience affect my score?

No. Your experience helps decide the mix of questions you receive, so the assessment suits your career stage. Your result depends only on your responses.

What will my report show?

Your proficiency level in each competency assessed, an overall grade, your main strengths and growth areas, and practical pointers for development. You can download the report and a certificate.

Will I see how I compare with other teachers?

Where enough teachers have taken a comparable assessment, your report includes a percentile. Until then, it shows your own results only, so that comparisons are always fair.

Who can see my results?

You can. If your school enrolled you, it sees group-level summaries; individual reports are shared only as the privacy rules allow.

Can my school enrol a group of teachers?

Yes. An institution coordinator can register the school, add teachers individually or in bulk, assign assessments and track progress.

What happens after the assessment?

You can choose coaching: one-to-one or in a group, online or in person in Hyderabad. Coaching builds on the growth areas in your report.

Who is behind Teach the Teacher?

Teach the Teacher is an initiative of OD Interface, an organisation development partner that works with schools and institutions on teaching competencies.

Still have a question?
