Five stages of learning growth
Start by knowing where you stand. Then go as far as you want: from improving your own teaching to training other trainers.
- 1
Stage 1
Assessment
Understand where you stand today. From there, you can choose to go for improvement.
- 2
Stage 2
Improvement
Book an appointment slot and work on your improvement with us, or study on your own and come back to the website for a re-assessment. Improvement can also help you earn a better increment.
- 3
Stage 3
Champion
For teachers who want a promotion and need to show they are eligible. The Champion course certifies the authenticity of your competencies.
- 4
Stage 4
Trainer
For teachers who want to earn extra income as a teacher cum trainer. Ask for higher pay in your own school or freelance at various schools, and build your own career as a Teaching Competency Trainer.
- 5
Stage 5
Train the Trainer
The most advanced stage. Train the other trainers who are already in the Teach the Teacher database. Once certified in the Train the Trainer programme, you receive potential leads from the website.
For schools
Five stages of growth for your institution
Assess your teachers, plan their improvement, and build a teaching team you can stand behind.
- 1
Stage 1
Assessment
Use the website to assess your teachers from time to time:
- APre-recruitment test
- BOngoing skill development assessment
- CPromotion criteria for promoting teachers
- DOne of the components of your performance management system for teachers’ increments
- 2
Stage 2
Improvement
Two ways to use improvement:
- APerformance Improvement PlanFor teachers whose performance is not good, with improvement set as a target over a fixed duration.
- BPerformance Growth PlanFor good performers, who are given the opportunity of better learning so that they can be promoted. The programme works as succession planning.
- 3
Stage 3
Auditing
Promote your school’s value proposition. Your school can show that it has a good teaching team, based on an audit conducted by certified Teach the Teacher auditors.
- 4
Stage 4
Certification with star rating
The rating gives teachers the self-esteem to build their careers, and they can set an example as brand ambassadors within the school. Certification is a highly structured and verifiable process from end to end.
- 5
Stage 5
Trainer
Develop internal talent to train your other teachers from time to time. An internal trainer creates an ecosystem for the growth of competencies among your teachers.
Growth stages describe the programmes you can take part in. They are separate from the five proficiency levels, Basic to Outstanding, that your assessment report shows for each competency.
